We’ve come such a long way and made so many advancements across fields, but even today, millions struggle for one of the most basic and essential needs - food. In India alone, over 189 million people are undernourished and countless go to bed hungry every single day.
People don’t have the means to afford a single meal in a day, let alone three nutritious meals. Moreover, those who are struggling with illnesses suffer even more. Not only do they have to find a way to afford their treatment, but also ensure that they stay healthy. People travel from far-off villages to hospitals to try and save their loved ones. Amidst these difficult times, they need all the support they can get.
Suphal Welfare Society’s Goal Is To Ensure No Person Goes Hungry
Suphal Welfare Society is an NGO based out of Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh that works with partners and local communities to help improve the overall well-being of people and animals. Their aim is to reach out to every single underprivileged, homeless and helpless person in need. They have even helped hundreds of injured stray dogs get the treatment they need.
Suphal has been providing healthy food to the poor since 2019 and has saved hundreds from hunger so far. They are now feeding over 200+ underprivileged patients in a hospital in Bareilly two days a week. These are people who are undergoing long-term treatment and have to spend days in the hospital. Many of them can’t afford to buy their own meals as they’ve left behind their homes, jobs and everything else to continue their treatment.
